Great piece Lindsey. Two things you can add since you asked for feedback:
1. Research how music triggers PTSD in some cases. Bring to the discussion how other songs in your life trigger other memories…good or bad.
2. Write about why you might have been looking forward to having your driver’s license, i.e. freedom and independence, and how your life would have been enhanced, but instead became connected to ‘fear’. You touch on that, but you could discuss those emotions even more.
Otherwise, a very readable piece that could be longer.
