Are Writers Groups Still Relevant?
First appeared in The Ink Drop Sept 2025 While watching an episode of Writers Drinking Whiskey on YouTube, the host and guest predicted that indie publishing is the wave of the future. I believe everyone has a story to tell. But not everyone has the skill or drive to tell it (or write it). Scribblers and Scholars Book Schedule
January's book, "Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books" by Kirsten Miller, brought lively conversation to Scribbler and Scholars this month. Overall, the group liked the idea the book was built upon — the ridiculousness of banning books, but the novel received mixed reviews. Some members thought it worked best as satire, others thought the author appeared to have an agenda that took away from the story, while others thought it accomplished its aims. It's worth reading to
